I initially started this blog as a way of charting my progress and development with my photography. However, it looks like it has changed somewhat since the beginning.
Even although I started working with computers in the mid-late 70’s (at school in 1976, an old PRIME mainframe), and continued with software/programming at university, had a solid grounding in Hardware and Network support, dabbled in database design, and was an earlyish Internet user (remember USENet, Archie, Gopher, bulletin boards, 300 baud modems?), I really missed the start of a lot of the social networking. I really only joined FaceBook to stay updated with my sons and their happenings.
As of January 2014, I realised I have been using WordPress for just over 6 months, and have only just started branching out into the realm of others’ blogs and extend my knowledge of this wonderful world.
Now I am over 50 (but still feel in my
20s 30’s), I realise that the greatest gifts I have been given are my wonderful sons, and one of the greatest gifts I can give is the ability that I may be able to make somebody’s day a little better by a smile, a kind word, listening, or sharing a photo.
I endeavour to accept people as they are, and respect their point of view (even if I don’t agree). Those who resonate with me I would like to call friend, but never denigrate those who don’t.
Live, Laugh, Love!
To me, this is a little saying that helps me keep centred on what is important.
Live – actively take part in your life, feel the joys, happiness, sorrow, and pain, and know that you are alive.
Laugh – never take yourself too seriously (but take life seriously) and always be willing to laugh at yourself.
Love – Love yourself, faults and all, and then you can also love others. Accept love, be open to the universe.
And funnily enough, the more I give, the more I receive.
Please feel free to make a comment, or send me a message (preferably positive thoughts only, don’t waste time on negatives). I may not respond immediately (or for a while), but I will respond, and I will always appreciate.
