WPC: Muse
My daily commute involves a 30 minute ferry trip from Half Moon Bay to the Auckland CBD, and back again in the afternoon/evening.
I am always inspired by the ever changing scene – the wind, tide, light, and boats are always different. In this ever changing display, I try to capture the sunrises, sunsets, the harbour islands (Rangitoto, Motuihe, Motukorea and others), and the Auckland Skyline. There are times when the clouds are dark and brooding, or hardly there. The water goes from glassy to rough. The wind can be zero, through to tempestuous (on one trip I experienced almost 60 knot winds!).
All this happens on the Waitemata Harobour – a constant source of subjects.
