Tonight, I decided to give it a go – a little astrophotography.
Auto focus off, image stabilisation off, manual mode on, aperture to biggest (4), shutter 30 seconds, self-timer to 2 seconds, point at the Southern Cross, try to focus, zoom to try to frame shot, re-focus, push shutter release, and wait!
After reducing the shutter speed a little, and a few tries I ended up with this
I am quite happy with the clouds and trees – add a bit of interest – and reasonably happy with result.
I am encouraged to start planning a trip a little further out of the city to get less light pollution (and maybe with a much less full moon).
Do you like the result?
Live, laugh, love.
