What is family all about?
To some it’s blood relationships, to others, it is a feeling of love for a person so connected that “friend” doesn’t come close to describe the relationship. I’m sure we all have friends like that – it doesn’t seem to matter how long it has been since you last saw them, it is as if no time has passed. And isn’t it just magical when both of these come together?
What a wide range of choices for the weekly photo challenge.
I am indeed blessed to be part of such a family. Here is a shot of my wife’s side of the family, on the occasion of a 144th birthday (3 combined)
You may know that yesterday my wife and I celebrated 28 years of marriage. We hadn’t anything formal planned for celebration, and about 4:30 in the afternoon we decided to invite “framily” across for nibbles and drinks. Our invitees started arriving about 1/2 hour later – and the last left some 6 1/2 hours later. An evening filled with fun, laughter, but most importantly love.
So, what is family?
To me, family is anyone who accepts you for just being you, and no matter what, will come to your call, be it joyous, be it sad, be it painful. They are just there. Next door, across the world. They are just there. Saw them an hour ago, saw them 10 years ago. They are just there. And they love you unconditionally, as you do them. And they will always be there.
Live, Laugh, Love.
