New Years Day – the sun sets

The sun has set on the first day of 2014 – and what a sunset. I was busy and missed the best part by about 15 minutes, but decided to go and try to capture some of the beauty anyway. (Note to self: plan a bit more ahead tomorrow evening – if the weather is similar).

I also tried to capture the beauty of the dusk, and a couple of long exposures. If you look carefully on the ridgeline on the left of the first photo and near centre of the second, you may see the Howick Christmas Tree – which has been a part of my life for the past 45 years!

Live, laugh, love!

  1. The Stockade Hill Christmas tree still makes me smile. There’s something very special about having travelled the world and yet returned to where you were born. Beautiful pix xx
